‘Ask Me’ Campaign to Help Tackle Stigma
Want to share your story and help tackle stigma? We'd love to hear from you! BPD Australia is creating an online platform to show the people behind the BPD label: Ask Me About My BPD.
We're looking for anything that lets others have a peek into your BPD story: a poem, a short story, an essay, a photograph, a flash fiction piece, a painting, a video - you create it, we'll share it. We're interested in stories both from people with BPD and those who love them, be it parents, partners, siblings, or best friends.
Why? Our website www.bpdaustralia.com is frequented by people with BPD and those who care for and love them. You might remember just being diagnosed. "Coming out" of the BPD closet. Hitting rock bottom and climbing up. Telling a family member. Finding that one thing that helps you stay on top. Starting dating someone and wondering when and how to tell them.
We'd love to share your experience and your story with others that can learn from it, be comforted by it, be moved by it. Give them a glimpse into your narrative. Tell them that yeah, it can suck, but it can also be everything else: funny, overwhelming, scary, triumphant, intense, creative. Everything.
